Listen More Than You Speak
Good communication is the backbone of every relationship, at work or at home. When we speak clearly and listen well, we avoid many misunderstandings and build trust. It also helps us feel heard and respected.
To improve, try the habit of active listening. This means giving the other person your full attention, putting away phones, and nodding or giving short verbal signs that you are following. Before you answer, pause for a breath and think about what was really said. If something is unclear, ask a simple question like, 'Can you tell me more?' or 'What do you mean by that?'
Doing this a few minutes each day can make your conversations smoother, reduce tension, and open up new ideas.
