Malaysia Ready to Deploy Peacekeepers

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin told reporters in Kota Tinggi that Malaysia will act in line with any United Nations resolution that calls for the Malaysian Peacekeeping Battalion, known as MALBATT, to be sent to Yemen. The statement underscores Kuala Lumpur's willingness to support multilateral efforts, rather than acting unilaterally, in a conflict that has already lasted more than a decade.
