Simple Steps to Tame Uncertainty
Risk thinking means looking at what could go wrong before you act. It helps you avoid surprise setbacks and makes your choices steadier. When you pause to ask, 'What might happen if I take this step?' you give yourself a safety net against panic later.
You don’t need a crystal ball. Just list two possible outcomes - a good one and a bad one - for any decision, big or small. Then ask yourself what you could do to lessen the bad outcome. Maybe it’s setting a reminder, asking a friend for advice, or keeping a small backup plan.
Practising this each day builds confidence. You’ll notice you feel less anxious about the unknown, because you have already thought through a few scenarios.
