Boost Your Learning with the Pomodoro Technique

Many of us find it hard to keep our mind on one subject for long. When attention drifts, the material slips away and we feel frustrated. A short, structured routine can change that. The Pomodoro Technique is a simple system that splits study time into 25‑minute blocks of full focus, followed by a 5‑minute pause. During each block you work on one task only, turning off distractions. After four blocks you take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes to stretch, hydrate or relax. The regular pauses give your brain a chance to rest, so information is stored more clearly and fatigue is reduced. To try it, pick a subject, set a timer for 25 minutes and commit to studying until it rings. Then enjoy a brief break before the next round.

Actionable Takeaway

Set a timer for 25 minutes, study one subject without distraction, then take a 5‑minute break. Repeat once today and notice how your focus improves.
