Name the Feeling, Steer the Day
When you take a moment to name the feeling bubbling inside, you hand yourself a clear signal about what the situation is trying to tell you.
We often let emotions run the show, reacting before we understand. A quick pause and the question ‘What am I really feeling?’ can shift a knee‑jerk reaction into a calm, considered reply, and opens space for empathy with the other person. When you see the feeling, you can decide whether to act on it or let it pass.
Try this: for the next hour, notice each emotion, label it in a word, and watch how the label changes its grip on you.
